Maria Tiefenbacher
“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself” (George Bernard Shaw)
Born in Villach and raised in Wernberg, in the province of Carinthia, my personal and professional life led me to Asia in the 1990s. I have spent more than 5 years living and studying in Singapore.
I studied and worked there as a cultural guide in the National Museum and the Asian Civilisations Museum, enabling me to pursue my interest in Asian history, history of art, architecture and Asian culture.
During my time in Asia, I also qualified as a Feng Shui consultant and advisor (www.fsrc-austria.com) and am equally committed to this profession as to my career as a tourist guide.
In 2006, I chose to move to Graz and completed a rigorous training to become a nationally qualified tourist guide, an austriaguide.
At the beginning of 2014, I attained my “Segway Professional” license.
It is with a great deal of pleasure that I accompany my guests on walking, cycling, bus and Segway tours through the city of Graz and present to them the cultural treasures, the Mediterranean way of life and all those special features that make the city I have chosen to live in so special.
My tours are adapted to the type of client, whether for a school class, university groups, guests from home or abroad, congress participants, business clients or tourists. I am also a qualified guide for persons with dementia.
Let me help you to get the most out of Graz!
Yours truly,
Maria Tiefenbacher
